Case Profiles #55

Iriquios Alston and Rickita Smalls

On August 6th, 2011, 27-year-old Iroquois Alston and his girlfriend, 22-year-old Rickita Smalls, were sitting in Rickita’s parked black Honda on Avenue B in Norwalk, Connecticut. The two were just talking and spending time together when they were approached by a perpetrator on foot and both shot in the head. Police were called at about 8:00am when a neighbor noticed the car and found their bodies.

Rickita was someone who was known for her incredible work ethic, and she loved art and baking. She was preparing to go back to college. Iroquois enjoyed reading and loved playing sports, especially golf, basketball and football. He had only been home with his family for just several months after serving an eight year sentence for robbery and was released on May 17, 2011. He had a 10-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter. The city put forth a $50,000 reward for anyone with any information leading to the arrest of the person or people responsible for the murders. Anyone with any information on the murders of Iroquois Alston and Rickita Smalls is asked to please call Detective Imparato at 203-854-3011, the Norwalk Police Anonymous Tip Line at 203-854-3111, or the state cold case hotline at 866-623-8058. Jahim Solomon and Eric White

Jahim Solomon and Eric White had a pension for getting into trouble. As teenagers, the Massachusetts natives met in the state’s juvenile justice system, and together they grew up serving time for their petty crimes. As young adults, Jahim and Eric continued to get in trouble with the law, and served various jail sentences, most often relating to crimes such as firearm possession and drugs. Even though the two young men had a tendency for getting in trouble, they were both well-loved, and described as being outgoing and funny. In mid-October of 2023, the two boys were driving through Vermont when they stopped making contact with their families. On October 24th, Jahim’s body was found in a wooded area off of a road in Eden, Vermont. The next day, Eric’s body was found just about a mile away. Both men had been shot to death. The police have named one person of interest due to some small circumstantial evidence, but the case remains unsolved. Anyone with any information about White and Solomon’s deaths is asked to please call the State Police barracks in Derby at 802-334-8881.
