Haidar Abushaqra

40-year-old Haidar Abushaqra, nicknamed Harry, was last seen on the 300 block of Main Street in Manchester, Connecticut at the car dealership that he owned on December 7th, 2011. At 8:24pm he called his wife to let her know he was having a work meeting and would be home at around 9:00pm, but he never came home and has not been seen or heard from since. The work meeting was with several mechanics who Harry was renting a garage to, and while the mechanics maintain that they did not have any involvement in his disappearance they have refused to take polygraph tests. Harry leaves behind his wife and his family of six children, the youngest being quadruplets who had just turned a year old at the time of his disappearance. His family has hired private investigators and feel he may have fled to Jordan or was detained at the border as he had a significant amount of debt, multiple criminal charges and was rumored to be a part of the Shia militant group Hezbollah, although his family denies the later rumors. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Haidar AbuShaqa is asked to please call the Manchester Police Department at (860)-645-5510.
