Case Profiles #13

Rhonda and Corán Johnson

On September 12th, 1996, a woman was walking her dog just before 8:00pm when she passed a 1988 blue Toyota Camry on Grenhart Road in Stamford, Connecticut. Inside of the car were the bodies of 18-year-old Rhonda Johnson and her 6-month-old baby boy Corán. They had both been shot in the head and Corán was still strapped into his car seat. Andre Messam, Corán’s father, sometimes gave Rhonda money for a babysitter so she could attend classes at a local community college as well as work. Rhonda was supposed to meet Andre the day before but he postponed until the next day. Allegedly, Andre was getting tired of giving Rhonda money and he didn’t want his new girlfriend to know about Corán. Rhonda was buried with baby Corán in her arms. No one has ever been charged with the murders and the case remains unsolved. Anyone with any information about the murders of Rhonda and Corán Johnson is asked to please call the Stamford police at (866) 623-8058.

Aaron Wornum

It was June 26th, 2011 and 25-year-old Aaron Wornum was driving through Suffolk, Massachusetts with his two friends, Erik and Jason. On their journey, Aaron informed his friends that he had to make a phone call, because he needed to meet up with someone to get some money he was owed. After talking on the phone for a short time, the three young men found themselves in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. Aaron’s friend, the man who was coming to give him money, Anthony Robertson, appeared walking down the street with a friend of his own. All seemed normal when Aaron got out of the car, but quickly an argument broke out. Before anyone could even think, Aaron was shot three times in the head and neck. Unfortunately, Aaron died at the hospital 25 minutes later.
