Case Profiles #43
Marlon Devine Santos
In August of 1998, 2-month-old Marlon Devine Santos was placed in a foster home in the 100 block of Eastern Avenue in Worcester, Massachusetts, under the care of Jose and Yolanda Castillo. Marlon’s mother was houseless and struggled with substance abuse, but his biological father was attempting to get custody of him at this time. Marlon was last seen on November 5th, 1998, but was not reported missing until two days later. Yolanda claimed that her husband was on a day trip in New York on the day that Marlon disappeared, and she told police that she left Marlon with two other foster children, ages 2 and 3, while she went to pick up her biological children from school. When she returned, she claims he was gone. There were ten other children in the home with Marlon, four were foster children and six were the couple’s biological children. All were removed from the home during the investigation. In October of 1999, police received information that Marlon's remains were buried on the banks of the Wachusett Reservoir off of Route 70 in Boylston, Massachusetts. When the area was searched, police found torn baby clothing and a diaper, but they were not able to test these for DNA. Investigators believe that the findings are unrelated and that Marlon may have been brought to New York and sold in an illegal adoption ring or was killed in the home, either accidentally by one of the other children or intentionally by Jose or Yolanda. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Marlon Devine Santos is asked to please call the Worcester Police Department at (508) 799-8651.
The Eldon Street John Does: “Clayton” and “Hooker”
On October 6th, 1988, a man was walking through a vacant, wooded lot in Dorchester, Massachusetts, when he made a life-changing and gruesome discovery. He found the body of a black teenage boy, who was shot execution style in the head. When police arrived, they found another black teenage boy nearby, underneath a tarp, who was also shot in the head. Both bodies were significantly decomposed. The investigation was going nowhere until a woman was arrested on drug charges and claimed that she knew the boys. She told police their names were Clayton and Hooker, and they, along with a third boy, dealt crack-cocaine with her. This has never been confirmed, however the boys are titled as such on missing children’s websites. To this day, their identities and who killed them are unknown.
