Tremaine Newton

On June 13th of 2009, West Haven, Connecticut police were alerted to a possible motor vehicle crash off of the highway on Interstate 95. Originally believed to be a routine car wreck, emergency services personnel who arrived on scene were shocked to find a single African-American male dead from several gunshot wounds to the head. He was identified as 20-year-old Tremaine “Twin” Newton. To this day, nobody has been charged with his murder. Rosa Maria Valentin

On July 26th, 1986, 16-year-old Rosa Maria Valentin was last seen walking home from work in Hartford, Connecticut. A witness saw her get into a white Ford Mustang Cobra with a Hispanic man, and this was the last time she has ever been seen. Prior to her disappearance Rosa was seen with 29-year-old Pedro Miranda, who was a registered sex offender and drove a white Ford Mustang Cobra. Pedro was arrested in December of 2008 for the murder of Rosa, as well as two other girls from Hartford who also disappeared in the 1980’s. 13-year-old Mayra Cruz disappeared in 1987, and 17-year-old Carmen Lopez, who was six months pregnant at the time of her murder, disappeared in 1988. DNA evidence found on Carmen’s body directly matched Pedro, however Rosa and Myra have never been found.
