Case Profiles #3

Nannette Oleson

28-year-old Nannette Oleson died under mysterious circumstances on April 5th, 2018 in South Boston, Massachusetts, and her cause of death is still unknown. Nannette’s mother Jane Oleson tried to press detectives for answers to find at least a cause of death for her daughter and felt as though she was brushed off and treated unfairly. She stated “When I called to get the detective’s name, nobody would talk to me. I told them she was Native American. A member of the Mik'Maq Wagmatcook Native American community, but a lot of them don’t recognize us.” Nannette leaves behind a daughter and a fiancé, as well as other loving family members and her Native American community.

Tracy Monteiro

November 27th, 2011, seemed to be a normal day for 32-year-old Tracy Monteiro, who lived in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He had been attending a baby shower with his girlfriend Tiffany when he decided to stay late and go to an after party. Tiffany returned home and went to bed while Tracy and the partygoers went to a nightclub, not returning home until around 5 in the morning. Tiffany, who had been asleep, was awoken to multiple gunshots fired right outside her home. To her horror, Tracy had been sprayed with bullets and lay dead in their driveway. As the police came, little evidence tags lay all over, showing the amount of bullets that had been shot. To this day police have no idea who shot Tracy or why. According to his sister, he was a kind, friendly man who loved his family and loved to cook.
